Israel-Hezbollah Conflict Live Updates: Israel, which is already at war with Hamas in Gaza, warned its citizens to expect incoming missiles and drones launched by Iran-backed Hezbollah.
Israel announced that it has conducted preemptive strikes in Lebanon amid detecting Hezbollah’s preparations for substantial attacks against the country. This happened while the country is already in conflict with Hamas in Gaza. On its part, the Israeli government warned citizens to be prepared to counter incoming missiles and drones from Hezbollah and declared a state of emergency nationwide for the next 48 hours by Defence Minister Yoav Gallant.
Hezbollah launched a large-scale attack with rockets and drones against Israel in retaliation for the recent killing of its commander, Fuad Shukr. The group hit different military positions of Israel, including some barracks and Iron Dome systems, asserting that the military operations were going to continue for a long time.
The area has been tense for weeks as Hezbollah and Iran have said they would respond to an Israeli strike on Beirut that killed a senior Hezbollah commander and the assassination of Hamas’s political leader in Tehran, blamed on Israel as well by many.
