Varun Dhawan talks about the death of his driver
Varun Dhawan talked about how he was wrapped up in his own life for many years. He believes there is a clear change in his life since he turned 35. During a chat with Ranveer Allahbadia, he got emotional and said he used to think of himself as a perfect hero, able to say anything at any time because of his movie roles. But when his driver died, he felt like he had failed himself. The actor from October talked about his close friendship with his driver, Manoj. “He passed away suddenly while we were on the job. I tried to save him by doing CPR. We rushed him to Lilavati Hospital, and I thought we might help him. But he died in my arms. It was hard to watch how quickly he left us. It all happened so fast.” Varun said that since his driver’s death two years back, he has been acting less and is now releasing a movie in theaters after a two-year pause.
In other news about entertainment, Varun mentioned that he started reading the Bhagavad Gita and Ramayana to deal with his sadness. He realized he needed to keep moving forward in life. “These experiences can really impact you, but you can’t just stand still. I picked up the Bhagavad Gita, Mahabharata, and Ramayana—just on a chance—because I had many questions,” the actor shared.
